   Compared to Thursday, steer calves and yearlings sold steady.  Heifers
steady.  Trade active, demand good.  Supply consisted of steers and
spayed heifers weighing 300-700 lbs.
	
   Feeder steers:  Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 155.00-165.00; 400
-500 lbs 135.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs 122.00-132.00; 600-700 lbs 112.00-
122.00.  Medium and large 2&3, 300-400 lbs 135.00-145.00; 400-500 lbs
115.00-125.00; 500-600 lbs 102.00-112.00.

   Feeder heifers:  Medium and large 1&2, 300-400 lbs 130.00-140.00;
400-500 lbs 120.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 110.00-120.00.

                       Columbus, NM. EST: 1400

   Not enough head sold on the current market to establish trend or
quote prices.  Supply consisted of mostly previously contracted steers
or spayed  heifers weighing 300-700 lbs.

              (10 cent slide basis 300 lbs on steers and heifers)
