Cotton Higher again at Midday

Front month cotton futures are trading with gains of 45 to 92 points so far for the midweek session. The US dollar index is weaker, supporting commodities priced in dollars. Old crop futures are now 2.35 cents/lb off the lows from the end of March.

USDA’s Daily Spot Quotations report showed just 874 bales sold in the 4/13 report. The Cotlook A index was back down by 210 points on 4/13 to 87.40 cents/lb. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 64.92 cents/lb through Thursday.

May 21 Cotton  is at 82.56, up 74 points,

Jul 21 Cotton  is at 83.92, up 73 points,

Dec 21 Cotton  is at 81.91, up 45 points
