SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance
New York prices are 3 cents higher for Extra Large and Large, 2 cents
higher for Medium. Regional and California prices are steady. Asking
prices for next week's deliveries are trending higher on all sizes,
however unchanged for Medium and Small in California. The undertone is
steady to firm. Offerings are light to moderate. Supplies vary and
are generally light to moderate. Demand into the retail channel is
moderate to good with additional activity noted in California. Food
service demand ranges very light to moderate. Transportation delays are
noted in areas of the Midwest affected by severe winter weather. Market
activity is moderate in the regions, moderate to active in California.
Breaking stock floor stocks are mostly moderate; breaking schedules are
full-time. Spent hen offerings are adequate for the slow demand.
